Nairobi, KENYA: Gilbert Selebwa has resigned as the head coach of Muhoroni Youth FC barely two months after his appointment at the helm.

A statement from the club’s hierarchy confirmed the development on Tuesday with James Omondi who has been assisting Selebwa being elevated to guide the team until the end of the season.

During his time at Muhoroni, Selebwa registered only one win, but lost twice and drew once including a 2-0 mauling at the hands of league toppers Gor Mahia which was his last match in charge.

Muhoroni has endured a poor run of results this season leaving them rooted bottom in the 18-team table standings with 15 points after 17 outings.

Their woes, however, might continue should they not put their house in order in time before coming up against Gor Mahia next weekend.
