Mombasa,KENYA:Five employees of St.Augustine preparatory school in Mombasa were on Thursday charged with the murder of a six year pupil.

The school headmistress, bus driver, school bursar, assistant driver and a mechanic were not allowed to plead to the charges until a psychiatrist assessment  is  done.

Lady Justice Dorah Chepkwony ordered each suspect released on a surety bond of one million.

The suspects will also be required to report to the county commander on every Monday upto August 21, 2017 when they will plea to murder charges.

The suspects had earlier protested the director of public prosecution orders to charge them with murder arguing that they were not directly involved.

But court dismissed their application and ruled that the DPP had the mandate to proffer charges against the suspects.

A 6 year old boy, Jeremy Masila   was crashed to death on the spot by   the school bus while riding it to school on Friday
