Mombasa hate speech mongers on social media warned

Mombasa, KENYA: Mombasa county commissioner Evans Achoki has said Strict legal action will be taken against those spreading hate speech through social media during this electioneering period.

Speaking on Thursday in Mombasa,Achoki said that the youths are the eyes of the government and that if anyone has seen or heard of someone planning to disrupt peace and security, should report immediately.

“Any one you know or think can disrupt security its good you report immediately.” said achoki.

He said that the government will not tolerate youths who are being used by politicians to cause chaos and warned against youths not obeying traffic laws in the name of campaigns.

He urged youths to focus on entrepreneurship instead of waiting to be employed by the government.

He was speaking on Thursday at the Mombasa Technical Training Institute at a youths event which was organized by the NACADA in partnership with Youth Enterprise Development Fund ,National Cohesion Integration Commission, together with the county government and the national government to discus on how to overcome the use of drug abuse.
