Following the death of Zari Hassan’s mother Halima Hassan who passed on in the wee hours of Thursday, Diamond Platinumz and his mother flew to Uganda to condole with his baby mama’s family and also attended a vigil on Thursday night held at the deceased’s home in Munyonyo Kampala.
Many Ugandan celebrities attended the vigil among them BET winner Eddy Kenzo and Zari’s rumored boyfriend Williams Bugeme.
In a photo from the vigil Bugeme is seen greeting Diamond Platnumz and his mother Sanura Kassim.
Rumors of Zari and Bugeme who is populary known as ‘Boss mutoto’ dating emerged after the death of Zari’s ex husband Ivan Ssemwanga, when both Zari and Bugeme posted photo’s of themselves comforting each other.
Bugeme has also been seen accompanying Zari to visit her late mother in hospital before she died at a time when Diamond platnumz was visibly absent.
However, sources close to the Hassan family have downplayed on then rumors of Zari and Boss mutoto dating saying they are close friends and nothing more.
“Banange! Why are people so idle? They are busy tarnishing Zari’s name instead of comforting her. Zee and her family are going through a difficult time now. After the death of her ex-husband, her mother is fighting for her life and instead of people respecting her family, they are busy spreading rumours. How do you think Diamond feels when he comes across such things on social media? Boss Mutoto is just like a brother to Zari, and they usually call each other bro and sis. He is just doing what a best friend is supposed to do.” A source told a Ugandan publication earlier in the month.
Halima is expected to be buried on Friday in Uganda.
