Two more charged with selling Madaraka Express train tickets illegally

Mombasa, KENYA: Two more suspects were on Tuesday charged with illegal selling of Madaraka Express train tickets in a Mombasa court.

Five other suspects were previously charged on Monday after they were arrested with the offence of selling train tickets without authorization from Railway Corporation.

Court noted that Stephen Maina and Millicent Auma not being employees or agents of Kenya Railway Corporation allegedly engaged in selling of train tickets without the authority.

The suspects were arrested on Monday at Miritini Railway terminus in Mombasa.

They pleaded not guilty before Mombasa senior resident magistrate Edigah Kagoni.

Mr.Kagoni directed each accused person to be released on a cash bail Ksh.10, 000.

The case will be mentioned on 31st August.
