Kilifi, KENYA: The feud between Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) deputy party leader Ali Hassan Joho and Kadu Asili gubernatorial candidate Kazungu Kambi has been fueled as Joho publicly referred to Kambi as a Jubilee side chick.
Joho, when addressing the public on Thursday, said Kambi has ever been a Jubilee supporter since 2013 despite being the Kadu Asili chairperson.
He said he is a political tourist in the Coast, together with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
“I have heard that Jubilee has been going around Kilifi County led by Gideon Mung’aro, Mustafa Iddi, Peter Shehe and their side chick Kazungu Kambi,” Joho said.
“I want to tell them one thing that they are just but normal political tourists in the coastal region,” added Joho.
Joho said the fact that Kambi has been advocating for five piece voting without a president shows how politically immature he is.
“How do you term yourself a politician yet you don’t know your presidential candidate? This is ridiculous for sure,” said Joho.
In his campaign, Kambi has been urging his supporters to vote for him as a governor and vote for candidates in his party in all the other positions except the president; of which they are free to choose whomever they like.
Kambi on his side has chosen to keep on mum on the allegations.
This comes as campaigns hit up in the coast region as the August elections approach.
