Police release names of wanted criminals in Mombasa

Mombasa, KENYA: Police in Kisauni Mombasa on Thursday released the names of the three most wanted suspected thugs in connection with a series of robberies in the port city and killings of businessmen.

Police named the three as Arabika,Sham and Masjid, all between 21 and 26.

The fourth suspect identified as Lena Kahindi, was apprehended on Thursday morning in his hide out in Bashir area in Kisauni and he was armed with five machetes,according to police.

Police also recovered brand new police boots during the raid.

Kisauni police boss Christopher Rotich confirmed the arrest of the fourth suspect saying police are investigating where and how he got the police boots.

He said the trio who are still at large are armed with firearm and dangerous.

“We have intelligence that the suspects are linked to the killings of two businessman who were shot in their business premises in Kisauni last month.” said the police boss.

He said the suspects have been operating in old town,Kisauni and Likoni areas.

He added that the suspects have been targeting Mpesa shops and other business shops.

He called members of the public to report to authorities of any suspicious characters.
