Nairobi, KENYA: Athletic Kenya AK has settled for 64 athletes to represent the country in the forthcoming 10th edition of the World Under-18 Championships that will be held on July 12-16 at Kasarani, Nairobi.

The group was selected on Wednesday after a two day training that attracted over 200 athletes from across the country, jostling for the minimal slots to participate in the global showpiece.

This will be the last edition following the decision by the International Association of Athletics Federations IAAF to scrap off the u-18 championship from its calendar.

Meanwhile, hosts Kenya will be all out to bank on home turf to triumph the world for the third time after wins in Poland 1999, and Italy in 2007.
