According to the deputy director who is the communication officer for National Disaster and Management,  Pius Maasai , it is estimated from the figures given by  the caretaker of  the collapsed  building and other officers, that 4 people of the same family and another person who was living at the 7th floor of the building are said to be have been left behind while the rest adhered to the call of evacuation moments before the building crumbled in.

” 128  people have so far been  evacuated but  in 4th floor  there is still a family and in the ` 7th floor there is one person still missing”. said Masai.
Maasai  noted that, about 128 people from the building evacuated and rescued themselves following  an order from police officers and the caretaker who had reported the matter earlier before authorities started enforcing  the evacuations.

Nairobi  governor Dr Evans Kidero and Nairobi Women representative Rachel Shebesh respectively promised some cash that would help in getting victims accommodation for one month.

The rescue mission   is said to take 3 to 4 days before a concrete completion of evacuation is complete.
