Darees Salaam,TANZANIA: AFC Leopards have stormed into the finals of the inaugural Sportpesa Super Cup by seeing off Tanzanian Champions Yanga 4-2 on post match penalties after a barren draw in regulations time.
AFC Leopards players believed they can use the tournament to overturn their dwindling fortunes in the Kenyan Premier League.
En route to semis, both teams bettered their respective opponents though penalty lotteries where Leopards edged Singinda FC while Yanga toppled Kenyan champions Tusker FC.
Leopards will now meet the winner between Gor Mahia and Nakuru All Stars who were due to play, in the finals where the winner will pocket Sh. 3m as well as tackle Everton of England in a friendly match.
