Mombasa,KENYA:A man has been killed by mob after he was caught stealing goods in one of the shops in the st maria neighborhood in Likoni sub-county,Mombasa.
According to eyewitnesses,the man who was in a company of other five suspects had broken into a mini supermarket belonging to a man identified as Washington Kudur.
The man in his 30’s was beaten to death and his throat slit by irate mob. However his accomplices escaped the 10 am incident Sunday incident.
Eye witnesses who spoke to Baraka FM said the suspects had already stolen three mobile phones,cylinder gases and other goods worth 50,000.
Police say they recovered the stolen goods just a few meters from the broken shop,knives and other crude weapons which were believed to be from the suspects.
The body of the deceased was taken to the Coast general mortuary.
