Nairobi, Kenya: National men’s soccer team Harambee Star’s head coach Stanley Okumbi has summoned 26 players to report to camp ahead of their friendly match against Angola slated for June 4 at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.
Kenyan Premier League top scorer Stephen Waruru of Ulinzi Stars who has netted six goals this campaign is among the new faces in the team, with league leaders Gor Mahia producing the highest number of five players.
The match that will engage only local based players is part of the preparations for the 2019 African Nations Cup qualifiers where Stars will kick off with the duel against Sierra Leone on June 10.
Summoned players are expected to report to camp on May 28 at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.
