Mombasa,KENYA:Former investigative journalist Mohamed Ali,  has accused Mombasa governor Ali  Hassan Joho and his brother Abu Joho of sabotaging the party primaries in his strongholds in his constituency.
Speaking in Mlaleo primary school in Mombasa, one of the polling stations in the nominations, Moha who is eying the  ODM ticket for Nyali constituency  said that his name and  those of other aspirants were missing from the  IEBC register.
Ali urged the Joho family to stop meddling in the Party primaries.
“This is not fair . Joho and Abu should keep off this election. All our strongholds here are still closed”he  said.
Moha has further called on the ODM elections board to cancel the Nomination exercise.
“The election here is not free and fair, it’s unfortunate that despite the large voter turnout,  the voting exercise  is not taking place”. He said.
However his  remarks were disputed by  his arch-rival  who happens to be Joho’s kin Saido Abdallah Salim who is also eyeing the  Nyali constituency party ticket on ODM  who said that the election exercise which has already began at  Kongowea social hall polling station ODM was peaceful.
However  there was a bit confusion  after ballot boxes meant to be used in  Kongowea social hall were  taken to Kengeleni polling station. Heavy security was seen manning the polling stations.
