Stima slays Rangers 2-0 in Super League, Mombasa

Mombasa,KENYA:Modern Coast Rangers’ losing streak took another twist on Thursday after they went down 2-0 at home to Nairobi Stima FC in the National Super League clash staged at Mbaraki stadium, Mombasa.

Two goals in either half from John Kangethe and Vincent Odongo gave Stima a convincing victory over struggling Rangers who could not breach the visitors’ defense aided by the veteran defender Joseph Shikokoti.

With the victory, Stima condemned Rangers to their second defeat on the back and third this season, a run that has poisoned their campaign despite serving off brightly with three successive wins.

Rangers, who sunk to 12th in the 19-team table standings on 11 points, eight a drift of leaders Wazito FC will travel to take on St. Joseph on Sunday in their next match.

Other day’s fixtures will see KCB battle MOSCA FC, Bidco United will entertain Kibera Black Stars as Administration Police play host to Agro-chemicals.
