Kilifi,KENYA:10 years ago the former Gambian president Yahya Jammeh shocked many when he defied the opinion of medical doctors and claimed that he had found a cure to HIV/AIDS.
Well it seems that 10 years later Jammeh has finally found his match in Kenya who is none other than the Magarini MP Harrison Kombe.
Kombe has gotten people talking after a video of him claiming to have the ability to cure early stage HIV surfaced.
Kombe who was speaking in Chamari in Kilifi county claimed that he could use the therapy to cure HIV on its early stages.
Reflexology is the application of pressure to different areas in the arms and feet that experts believe correspond to different organs in the body and the application of pressure in this areas has a beneficial effect on a persons body.
The MP said that he developed interest in the therapy after suffering kidney complications for long without an appropriate cure.
The MP said that he was in the process of training people on the therapy so as to provide employment in his constituency.
Scientists have not yet established the ability of the therapy to cure early stage HIV and currently the virus has no known cure.
Kombe’s remarks comes at a time when the ministry of health is gearing for the launch of Pre Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) treatments in the country that will be administered to groups highly vulnerable to the virus.
