Gospel singer Bahati last year made headlines when he revealed that he had a crush on Tanzanian actress Elizabeth ‘Lulu’ Michael.
In an interview with Mseto’s Willy M Tuva Bahati said he was ready to settle down if Lulu accepted his marriage proposal.
Lulu would later decline Bahati’s proposal with a polite no but Bahati did not seem ready to give up.
In an interview with Tanzania’s Magic FM, Bahati has revealed that the actress badly belittled him and rejected his offer to have her as a video vixen to in one of his music videos.
Bahati reveals that he traveled to Tanzania in November last year but the actress would not pick his calls .
“Hii ni siri ambayo nadhani hata Wakenya hawakujua, AY peke yake ndiye alijua. Nilitoka Nairobi kuja hapa [Dar es Salaam] natafuta connection na Lulu kwasababu nataka awe kwenye ile video [Maria] ambayo nimemweka Jokate. Nimekaa kwa hotel Lulu amekataa kushika simu mpaka ikafika mahali nikamwambia ukija kuniona Mungu atakubariki, siku ya pili akakataa kabisa nikamwambia mshikaji AY acha tu nirudi nyumbani. Nikarudi hivyo,”

Bahati was in Tanzania promoting his collabo with Wasafi’s Rayvanny.
It is not clear if the Lulu’s rejection is the reason why he decided to use Ali Kiba’s rumored girlfriend Jokate Mwengelo as the video vixen in the video.
Bahati is currently rumored to be dating Diana Marua the video vixens who featured in his song ‘Mapenzi’
