Machakos,KENYA:Substitute Moses Waiswa scored a last gasp equalizer as Uganda came behind to settle for a one all draw with Harambee Stars in an international friendly match played at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos on Thursday.

Former Gor Mahia lanky forward Michael Olunga had put Stars on the drive in the 35thminute with a well put strike, and the Stanley Okumbi charges looked set for a famous victory over their perennial rivals.

Things would then change when Moses Waiswa came off the bench, beat his marker before slotting home three minutes to the final whistle salvaging a point for Uganda in a clash where Stars was the better side if possessions were to count.

The outcome saw Stars playing to another draw against the regional rivals whom the shared a barren draw in their last meeting in Kampala last year.

Head Coach Stanley Okumbi though, will be somehow pleased with the result owing his unbeaten record with the national team remain intact since he was elevated to the top job despite many questioning his experience.

Harambe Stars will now switch its focus to the Sunday match where it will play host to DR Congo in another international friendly game, as it continue with preparations for the 2019 African Cup of Nation AFCON qualifiers.
