Bongo songstress’s Vanessa Mdee’s younger sister Mimi Mars has defended her sister over her alleged involvement in narcotics.
In an interview with Ayo tv, Mimi said that her family is not disturbed over the allegations since they are pretty sure Vanessa would never involve herself in Narcotics.
“We feel sad because we know she is innocent but we have no option but to cooperate with the law since she has been mentioned.”Mimi said.
“The good thing is that we are at peace since we know she is innocent” Mimi added.
Earlier in the week, Vanessa Mdee’s lawyer , Aman Tenga confirmed that the singer was being detained by law enforcement officers in the capital Dares Salaam.

This was after her name was mentioned in a list of celebrities required to present themselves for questioning over involvement in narcotics in early February.Other celebrities mentioned include Actress Wema Sepetu and singer Diamond platnumz
No one knows if she is still in police custody but her last post on instagram was 4 days ago just before she was detained.
Mimi is a TV host who recently made her debut in music with her single Shuga last month.
