Nairobi, KENYA: National Bank of Kenya has entered into a partnership with members of the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors of Kenya (BORAQS) in a bid to help members of the latter  easily access financial services.

The bank on Tuesday announced this union whereby BORAQ members will be offered membership cards which will also serve as a payment card.

“Our aim is to build on the existing relationship between BORAQ and us. BORAQ members will benefit from the value added services offered through the card as well as access to other financial services of benefit to the association’s members,” said National Bank’s CEO & Managing Director Wilfred Musau when signing the deal.

Mr. Musau added that the members through the card would be able to make purchases at their preferred supermarket, fuel station or restaurant as well as make payments over the internet in any currency.

“This partnership seeks to offer a customized solution to BORAQS and its members through the combination of the payment and membership card functions. The card will also come with a host of negotiated discounts and lifestyle benefits that will introduce members to a world of convenience,” Mr. Musau added.

The card is supported by Visa and has a global acceptance in over 200 countries and territories worldwide.
