Sportpesa AllStars leaves for England ahead of Hull City friendly match

Nairobi, KENYA: The selected Kenyan Premier League team dubbed Sportpesa AllStars left the country Wednesday afternoon for England where it will play a friendly match with Premier League club Hull City.

The 18-man squad under the tutelage of Harambee Stars tactician Stanley Okumbi is scheduled to take on Hull City on February 27 at the KCOM Stadium starting 2130hrs local time.

The trip is facilitated by Kenyan betting firm Sportpesa who sponsored both the Kenya Premier League KPL and the English Premier League EPL club, Hull City.

As a motivation, Sportpesa has promised the team Sh.1,150,000 should they beat Hull City, Sh. 500,000 for a draw while Sh.100,000 will be given per goal to every player who scores.

The match is aimed at nurturing & exposing local players to the world as well as preparing the national team Harambee Stars’ squad for 2022 World Cup.

Players were selected from KPL clubs after rigorous weeks of training and inspections under the watch of Hull City coaches.
