Four wanted robbers arrested in Mombasa

Mombasa, KENYA: Police in Likoni Mombasa on Wednesday arrested four wanted suspected thugs, after a getting a tip off from the public on their whereabouts.

The suspects; two men and two women, were arrested in a house in Corner Mbaya around Inuka police station.

One of the suspects, a man, has a bullet lodged in his right hand side of chest and according to police, this is after he was shot in a robbery mission between May and July last year 2016, while his accomplice escaped.

Police believe the suspects have been engaging in a series of robberies especially in Ukunda, Likoni and Malindi.

According to police, the two aged between 33 and 43, are among the criminals in the  list of the most wanted and dangerous robbers.

Likoni DCIO boss Henry Ndombi confirmed the arrest of the suspects to Baraka FM, saying investigations were underway.

“We have all four of them  in custody, we are investigating them and so far we have gotten some crucial information,” said Ndombi.

He said they got a tip of from the  public and that’s when they carried out a raid and managed to arrest the suspects.
