London, ENGLAND: English Premier League run away leaders Chelsea’s boss Antonio Conte has hype praised Kenyan captain Victor Wanyama ahead of their clash with Tottenham Hot Spurs on Wednesday night.

In a pre-match interview, the Italian singled out the midfielder as a threat to his side as they chase a record of 14 straight premier league wins.

Conte admitted that he is impressed with Wanyama’s strength and ability to wrestle opponents, claiming it will be difficult for his charges to dictate proceedings in the midfield, should the Kenyan international be at his best.

‘’He’s a complete player, one that you would love to have in your team. It’s a plus for Spurs to have him especially this period that victory is crucial to every team,’’ said the tactician.

Wanyama has been a force to reckon at White Hart Lane since moving to Spurs from Southampton during the summer transfer window, signing a five-year contract for a fee of £11 million.

Some of his displays is a man of the match performance he produced against Manchester City helping Spurs to trounce Pep Guardiola’s managed side 2-1.

Tottenham welcome Chelsea Wednesday night starting 2300hrs in a clash which will see the hosts leapfrogged Arsenal, in the top four or Chelsea open a gap of eight points at the summit, depending on the result.
