Nairobi,KENYA: Nyamira senator Kennedy Mong’are Okong’o has declared his interest to vie for the presidency in 2017 general election.
Mr. Okong’o assured his supporters of equal distribution of resources during his launch of presidential bid in Nairobi on Tuesday.
‘The present leaders are there for their own benefits but not that of the common man’ he said.
He said his government will ensure that there will be no marginalization of minority group in the country.
Mr. Okong’o, 47, was elected on a Ford Kenya ticket during 2013 general election.
His presidential bid comes barely a months after a city lawyer Philip Murgor declared his bid to vie for presidency in 2017 general election.
