Nairobi,KENYA: Kenya Premier League champions Tusker has been paired with Mauritanian champions Port-Louis in the Confederation of African Federation CAF preliminary matches.
According to the draw conducted on Wednesday in Cairo Egypt, Tusker will start the two legged tie away on the weekend of February 10 before hosting the return leg a fortnight later in Nairobi.
In an event that the Kenyan champions emerge winners of the two fixtures, they will then take on Al-Hilal of Egypt in the second round.
Tusker will be guided with Ugandan tactician George Nsimbe who took over from their title winning coach Paul Nkata who ditched the club for league rivals Bandari.
Elsewhere Kenyan representatives in the CAF Confederations Cup, Ulinzi Stars have been handed Hilal Benghazi of Libya.
The soldiers will start at home in Nairobi on the weekend of February 10 before traveling to Libya for the reverse fixture two weeks later.
Ulinzi qualified for the continental assignment after losing to Tusker in the Gotv Shield competition with the Brewers doubling up by claiming the league title.
