Mombasa, KENYA: A man was on Thursday charged in a Mombasa court for allegedly defrauding cellphone service provider Telkom Kenya Limited of sh.10 million worth of airtime.
The court heard that Abbas Saghir on diverse dates between September and October 2016, falsely obtained five post paid lines with roaming services from Telkom Kenya Limited valued over sh. 10 million.
The accused person was also charged with another count of making a document without legal authority.
Saghir is accused of making a document in the name of BBCAT; purporting to be genuine BBCAT from the said company.
He pleaded not guilty to all the charges before Mombasa senior resident magistrate Martin Rabera.
Rabera ordered the accused person to be released on a sh. 1,100,000 million bond, with a surety bond of a similar amount.
