Mombasa, KENYA: East Africa inter Parliamentary games enter its day four on Wednesday in Mombasa, with hosts Kenya expecting to revive their hopes in men’s soccer when they take on Tanzania.
The match is a must win for Kenyan parliamentarians if they are to progress to semis, after having lost by a solitary goal to their Ugandan counterparts in their opening match.
Uganda missed the chance to qualify for semis after succumbing to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Tanzania on Tuesday at the KPA Mbaraki Sports Club.
Rufiji Member Of Parliament Mohamed Omar Mchengerwa grabbed a brace to aide Tanzania to the match needed victory, with Uganda failing to salvage appoint after Hon. Robert Sekitoleko shot wide from the spot.
Meanwhile, East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) and Burundi qualified for semis, after fellow group B member Rwanda failed to field a team.
Elsewhere, Kenya continued its dominance in volleyball in both men and women’s category flooring Uganda and Tanzania 2-0 respectively.
Kenyan women parliamentarian had beaten Uganda with a similar margin in their opening match on Monday.
