Mombasa, KENYA: Mombasa county government is yet on the spot again following Friday evening incident at the Kenya Ferry crossing channel, after county “askaris” ferried the three victims injured using a Probox instead of an ambulance.

According to witnesses, the three women who were seriously injured with broken limbs during the incident, were bundled into a Probox vehicle branded inspectorate department.

This was not taken easily by the commuters at the ferry channel terming it as a brutal and disrespectful way of handling the injured victims.

Omar Babu who was part of the good Samaritans who rescued the injured victims, lamented that the county government have enough ambulances which could be used when such accidents happens.

“Don’t we have ambulances in the county, why are victims ferried like bags of maize, ” said an angry Mr. Omar.
