Nairobi, KENYA: Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama has been shortlisted for the English Premier League African Player of the Month for November.

The Tottenham FC anchorman will contest for the award with Nigerian duo of Victor Moses and Victor Anichebe both who ply their trade with English clubs Chelsea and Sunderland respectively.

Moses claimed the award for the month of October, and he is tipped to retain the accolade after posting a yet another good run in November contributing to Chelsea’s rise to the top of the EPL table.

Wanyama and Moses met last weekend with the latter scoring the winning goal in Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Tottemham, their only defeat this season.

Meanwhile, Wanyama who first won the award in September 2015 while at Southampton has also had a share of sparkling performance since switching allegiance to White Hart Lane.

Some of his moments came in October where he produces a man of the match performance against Manchester City guiding Spurs to a 2-0 success over the Pep Guardiola’s managed side.
