Mariakani thumps Boyz 4-2 to dislodge Bandari in FKF South Coast log

Mombasa, KENYA: Mariakani Stars has ousted Bandari Youth in the FKF South Coast Zone B standings after thrashing Faster Boyz 4-2 in a clash staged at Mariakani secondary school over the weekend.

Goals from Fred Esuron and Morris Kalama gifted Stars maximum points against Boyz who earned their consolations through Dena Wanje and Patrick Maganga.

After playing 16 matches Mariakani Stars has moved to the top of Zone B log with 38 points, three points better of second placed Bandari Youth who has dominated the standings since the onset of the second leg.

In other matches played over the weekend; at Mvita ground Junior Stars suffered a shock 0-1 defeat to Congo Boyz thanks to a 33rd strike from Evans Mwakumbi.

At Mariakani secondary school ground visiting Barsheba United played out to a three all draw with Addis Ababa while the tie pitting Barsheba United and Junior Stars was halted due to insecurity reasons.
