Nairobi, KENYA: Kenya Sevens Shujaa head coach Innocent Simiyu has included four new faces in the team has he picked his 21-man squad for the 2016/2017 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series.
The new kids on the block are KCB’s Darwin Mukidza, Kabras Sugar pair of Brian Tanga and Aluda Beda and Impala’s Derrick Mayar both who starred with their respective clubs during the national 7s series circuit.
World Rugby Sevens Series all-time highest try scorer Collins Injera of Mwamba RFC, and team captain Andre Amond are among the 14 players retained from the squad that won Kenya its maiden HSBC Sevens title last season.
The 2016 /2017 HSBC 7s series will kick off in Dubai on December 2 where Kenya has been grouped in Pool D alongside France, Japan and Australia.
