Nairobi, KENYA: National Executive Council of the Wiper Democratic Movement has constituted a five member disciplinary committee led by Haroun Ndubi to summon wiper rebels who defected to Jubilee party.
In a media briefing at party headquarters in Nairobi on Wednesday, Wiper’s secretary general Omar Hassan said that the disciplinary committee members include Lilian Omondi ,Mutheu Muna ,Abubakar Yusuf and Jacob Mutula.
Hassan said that members who will be summoned include Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua ,Mwingi North MP John Munuve ,Kilome MP Regina Ndambuki ,Mbooni MP Kisoi Munyao ,nominated MP Robert Mutemi and members of county assemblies whose loyalty to the party has been put into question .
The committee has been given two weeks to complete its work.
Hassan pointed that the party will also execute disciplinary action against members who have failed to contribute party’s subscription fee amounting to sh. 30 million.
The party vehemently condemned what it termed as Jubilee administration’s blatant corruption cases which has reached to crisis levels.
“We have watched as a wanton theft of public funds that has reached crisis levels, even as Jubilee continues to sink Kenya deeper and deeper into debt.”Hassan said
They demanded that Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Health Dr Nicholas Muraguri be suspended immediately to permit further investigation over 5 billion scam, failure to which the opposition will call for mass action for his suspension .
“We demand that the PS Dr Nicholas Muraguri be suspended immediately awaiting to be arraigned before court ,failure to which wiper will be forced to mobilize Kenyans for mass action.”Hassan said
The party also said that it is concerned over sabotaging of new laws on electoral reforms .
