Knec official charged in court for leaking 2016 KCPE exams

Mombasa, KENYA: A Kenya National Examination Council (Knec) agent was on Wednesday charged at Shanzu Law courts for allegedly leaking 2016 KCPE examinations.

Court heard that Ombega Ndemo unlawfully and willingly engaged in examination malpractices, contrary to Kenya National Examination council act.

The accused allegedly disclosed examination information  during day 1 of the 2016  KCPE exams on Tuesday, at Mary Joy academy in Nyali sub county within Mombasa county.

Ndemo is alleged to have disclosed the English grammar paper and composition before the required time.

He denied the charges before Shanzu principal magistrate Diana Mochache.

Mochache ordered the accused person to be released on a sh.200,000 bond.

The case will be heard on November 2016.
