Nairobi, KENYA: Kenya Premier League side Posta Rangers FC is rumored to have sacked head coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno together with his technical bench.
According to sources within the club, the decision was reached by the management following Ranger’s 1-0 defeat at home to Bandari last weekend.
Zico joined Rangers in 2015 where he steered them to promotion to the top tier league from the National Super League last season.
He would then guide the Mailers to a glittering start to life in the league a performance, that saw him scoop the best coach award for the Month of April.
However, he failed to replicate the same in the second round of the league, a run believed to have cost him his job.
Goalkeeper trainer Lawrence Webo has since been elevated at the helm to guide the team in the remaining two matches of the current campaign.
Rangers are placed 8th in the league standings with 39 points after 28 rounds.
