Stockholm, SWEDEN: Kenyan International striker Michael Olunga continued his good run by grabbing a brace to help his club IF Djurgardens defeat hosts Helsingborg IF 2-1 in a Swedish league match played on Thursday evening.
Olunga who started from the bench in the previous match, returned to the starting eleven and proved why he should be starting when he slotted home in the 31st to put Djurgardens 1-0 up.
Helsingborg leveled in the 66th minute but their celebrations were cut short when the lanky forward prodded in for the second time in the 67th minute restoring parity for his team.
Olunga who claimed the 2015 Kenya Premier League Most Valuable Player MVP award, has now scored 10 goals in the last 11 matches.
He will, however, miss the next match serving suspension after he got his third yellow card in yesterday’s clash.
