Kilifi,KENYA:Kilifi county deputy governor Kenneth Kamto has vowed to go court in demand of his official car which he claims to have been taken from him by the County Secretary Owen Baya.
Kamto said he was shocked to hear the news of an order at a petrol station barring his vehicles from refueling.
Addressing the media on Thursday in his office during a press conference, the deputy governor termed the move as deliberate and frustrating.
He said he would not take the matter lightly as it has turned out to be the order of the day.
“This is information is totally frustration on my party and it is done deliberately in the name of Governor Amason Kingi,” Kamto said.
“Owen Baya is a junior staff in this County who in fact must address me as sir, but you will be shocked he has the powers to step in my office demanding for my official car’s keys I want to inform him that I will not hesitate to go to court because my office is constitutional unlike his,” Kamto added.
Kamto said he has been facing such frustrations ever since he showed interest in vying for the gubernatorial seat in Kilifi County.
He added that there was a time his car repair was deliberately delayed when his vehicle was involved in a road accident.
“I have been using my own means of transport as my vehicle was not repaired in time with reasons best known to them,” Kamto said.
