Nakuru, KENYA: AFC Leopards came from behind to force a 2-2 draw with soldiers Ulinzi Stars in a Kenya Premier League match played at Afraha stadium Nakuru on Friday.
Ulinzi took control of the encounter when Daniel Waweru scored a brace in the first half with Kepha Aswani scoring for Leopards before the breather.
James Saruni’s mistake could then deny Ulinzi maximum points after he let slip between his hands a poorly taken Paul Kionge’ra short six minutes from time to help Leopards salvage a point.
The result nevertheless took Leopards winless to sixth as they remain rooted 12th on 30 points after 26 rounds.
Ulinzi stagnates on position six having amassed 38 points, with their title dreams jilted as they trail apex toppers Tusker by 10 points.
The league will continue over the weekend with Tusker taking their title quest to Coast where they will tuckle hosts Bandari at the KPA Mbaraki on Saturday.
