Nairobi, KENYA: Western Stima FC head coach Henry Omino has been feted the Kenya Premier League best coach for the Month of September after emerging top in the polls conducted by Sports Journalist Association of Kenya SJAK on Tuesday.
The veteran tactician garnered 19 votes, two head of Gor Mahia’s Jose Marcelo Ze’Maria while Paul Nkata of Tusker managed 14 with Salim Babu of Sony coming third on 10.
During the month of September Omino guided Stima to third place in the league standings after posting victories against AFC Leopards and Nairobi City Stars without conceding a single goal.
Omino become the first coach to scoop the accolade twice since its introduction in February having claimed the gong in July.
In appreciation of his achievement, he was rewarded a cash-prize of Ksh 50,000 and a personalized trophy.
