Mombasa, KENYA: A Court in Mombasa on Thursday released the wife of the late Muslim Cleric Sheikh Aboud Rogo; Haniya Said Sagaar on a bond of sh. 1 million.
In her ruling, Principal Magistrate Diana Mochache said prosecution failed to bring documentary evidence linking the accused person to aiding terrorist activities in the country.
She also added that the accused husband died along time ago and that their seven kids who have been persistently coming to court; will be affected directly by the proceedings and thus releasing her on a sh. 1M bond.
The magistrate ordered that she will be required to surrender her passport and be reporting to Nyali police station once a week.
Prosecution has however said that they will appeal the ruling.
The three other accused persons Luul Ali,Nasteho Ali and Zamzam Abdi will be detained pending comprehensive probation officer report on 17/10 before ruling on bond.
