It has now been officially confirmed that American RnB singer Chris Brown, will be performing in Mombasa on 8 October 2016 at the Mombasa Golf Club alongside Nigerian musician Wizkid.
In a short video posted by Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho in his Instagram account on Wednesday , the “Yeah” singer is seen giving a shout out to Kenyans telling them to get ready for the biggest show to ever happen in Kenya!

The event, dubbed Music Festival, is being organized by Mombasa Rocks and will be an exclusive event that will see Mombasa being the second city to host international superstars, beside Nairobi.
“We wanted to make it a surprise for everyone, that is why we did not say anything before, until we were near the concert date,” said Alexadre Helaine, market manager Moet Hennessy Eastern Africa, the key sponsors of the event.
In a press briefing on Wednesday at English Point Marina, the Mombasa Rocks CEO Adil Juma said tickets were going for sh 20,000 Vip and 10,000 regular and not sh 50,000 as stated earlier.
“VIP tickets are going for sh 20,000 and regular tickets are going for sh 10,000. I hope you all heard that i didn’t mention sh 50,000.” said Juma.
The event is alleged to have Dj Crème de la crème as the guy behind the decks; it has not yet however been revealed who will be the curtain raisers for the two big artistes.
