Mombasa, KENYA:Four women were on Monday charged at Shanzu law court for allegedly conspiring to commit a terror attack at central police station in Mombasa.
Hania Said,Luul Ali,Nasteho Ali and Zamzam Abdi jointly with Tasmin Abdullahi,Ramla Abdirahman and Maimuna Abdirahim were alleged to have attacked central police station on September 11.
They were also charged for failing to disclose information which is believed could have prevented the foiled attack.
Particulars of the offence were that on diverse dates between 5th September at Kanamai area within Kilifi County and Mvita area in Mombasa knowingly and having reasonable ground four accused persons failed to disclose information which could have prevented central police attack.
They pleaded not guilty to all charges before principal magistrate Diana Mochache.
The suspects lawyer Jared Magolo urged the court to release them on a reasonable bond terms since it is their constitutional rights.
‘Prosecution had not given evidence linking the suspects to terrorist group; court should dismiss application to oppose bond,’ said Magolo.
Hania said was arrested at her home and detained for seven days after it was alleged that she received money from one of the terror suspects killed during an attack.
Luul Ali,Nasteho Ali and Zamzam Abdi aged below 25 years were last week released by Mombasa court after prosecution failed to give compelling reason to have them detained but were re arrested few minutes after being released.
