Nairobi, KENYA:Opposition Mps have hinted at returning the Prime Minister position in the Constitution should it ascend to power after the 2017 general elections.
Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale said the move aims at creating space for Cord co-principal who may come third during the flag bearer nominations
Khalwale made the remarks in a press briefing at Parliament buildings on Wednesday.
This means first runners-up will automatically qualify for the deputy president role while the second runners-up will play a second fiddle to DP by settling for the PM position.
This is the latest development from Cord camp after it emerged on Tuesday that the coalition is working on plans to have Cord registered as one party before the 2017 elections.
