Mombasa, KENYA: Police are yet to release the bodies of three slain terrorists laying at Coast General morgue; the three were shot dead by police two weeks ago during a botched attack at Central police station in Mombasa.
A senior detective told Baraka FM on Monday that postmortem had not yet been carried out on the two bodies of Maimuna Abdiraham and Ramla Abdirahmn; which were set to be buried since Thursday last week.
This comes after the government indicated to the families of the deceased that they were yet to finalize on when the postmortem could be conducted.
“We are yet to release the two bodies, which have been identified since,there are some issues we need to agree on with the family,once done we will conduct the postmortem by tomorrow,” said the senior officer.
It has also emerged that the third body which is yet to be identified, allegedly belongs to a 26-year-old Yemeni national who arrived in the country in May this year.
According to a security officer privy to the investigations, Tasnim Yakub had travelled from Yemen after they met with the two sisters:Maimuna Abdiraham and Ramla Abdirahman who are believed to have invited her to come to Kenya after they met on a face book page named, “Sisters of Jannah”
The father of the slain terrorists were summoned on Tuesday by anti-terror police to shade more light on the matter.
Investigators also added that Abdurhaman Hussein was summoned to help in “sharing” information.
The officer who sought anonymity due to fear of victimization,said that the government had contacted the Yemen Embassy to establish when and how the slain suspected ISIS terrorists entered the country.
Her body is yet to be identified.
Further details have emerged of alleged money transfer from slain terrorist to the widow of slain controversial clergy,Aboud Rogo, which were meant to fund a madrasa school in Kanamai,where she is said to be teaching and taking care of orphans.
The said school is reportedly now under strong security surveilance
