Three terror suspects arraigned in court over Mombasa police station attack

Mombasa, KENYA: Three women were on Teusday arraigned in a Mombasa court for allegedly harbouring terror suspects who were killed after attacking Central Police station on Sunday.

Naima Mohammed Ahmed, Said Ali Haji and Shukri Ali Haji were arrested on Sunday at Kibokoni area in Mombasa.

The court heard that one of the three suspected terrorists who attacked central police station, Tasmin Yakub had been hosted by the three in their house.

The case was  however adjourned until Wednesday when a Somali translator will be available due to communication barriers.

The suspects are believed to be Al-shabaab operatives and currently in the country as refugees and possess refugee cards.

Four mobile phones with sim cards were recovered from the suspects and are believed to belong to the slain suspected terrorist and have been taken for analysis.

Meanwhile, anti-terror police unit have arrested Abdurhaman Hussein who is alleged to be the father of the slain terror suspects Tasmin Yakub and Fatuma Omar and are probing him concerning the case.
