Eldoret, KENYA: St. Johns Kaloleni has qualified for the quarter finals of the ongoing East Africa Secondary School Games after stunning Tanzanian side Alliance 3-0 in their second group match played at Sports Club Eldoret on Tuesday.

Harambee Starlets star Mwanahalima Adam grabbed a brace with Hellen Ochieng’ putting the icing on the cake with a third goal to send the national champions to the last eight with a match to spare.

The Coast regions champions tops their group on six points having secured a 2-1 victory over Rwandan champions Remera in the opener on Sunday.

Elsewhere, Kenya’s Barding High who picked maximum points in their first match, will only need a draw or avoid a defeat of more than 1-0 in their last group match on Wednesday to earn a quarter final slot.

This is after their rivals Ugandan champions St. Joseph Kibuli played out a disappointing barren draw with Rwandan side Hanika TSS on Tuesday.
