Nairobi, KENYA:According to new opinion polls by InfoTrack, half of Kenyans feel that Kenya is headed into the wrong direction economically and politically.
Releasing the polls in Narobi ,InfoTrack CEO Angela Ambitho said that 62 percent of Kenyans who were interviewed feel that Kenya is headed into the wrong direction politically.
Economically ,the report indicates that 55% of Kenyans feel that the country is headed to the wrong direction whereby 55% attribute that to the government’s failure.
Ambitho pointed that 52% of Kenyans indicated that corruption is an emerging issue that the government should address immediately.
The polls further indicate that 73% of Kenyans said that over the past one year corruption has gone up significantly.
The polls showed that corruption was signicant in counties,51% saying corruption exists in the office of the deputy president and low level of corruption in the office of the president at 46 % of Kenyans attributing to that.
