Suspects alleged to Kill Dutchman in Nyali to go for a mental test

Mombasa, KENYA: A Mombasa high Court on Thursday ordered three men alleged of killing a dutchman in Nyali be taken for mental assessment at Coast General hospital before being charged.

John Ochieng,Joseph Ogolla and Stephen Ocholla are alleged of killing Jacobus van Der Goes in January at his home in Nyali within Mombasa County and dumped his body in a water septic tank.

John Ochieng who was a servant to the deceased is currently serving a two years jail sentence at Shimo la Tewa prison after he was found guilty of stealing from the deceased.

Lady Justice Njoki Mwagi has ordered court executive to provide an advocate for John Ochieng; who is not represented in court by an advocate.

The body of the deceased was retrieved last week in a septic water tank after the deceased gone missing for six months.

The Three suspects will be arraigned in court on 11th July to face murder charge plea.

“My lord after investigation police officers informed me I was innocent but requested Ksh.100,000 before they release me” Stephen Ocholla told court.

Lady Justice Njoki dismissed suspect claims and asked him to present information during a hearing.
