Nairobi, KENYA: Storm is engulfing Orange Democratic Movement party (ODM ) after party’s Secretary General Ababu Namwamba and Vice Chair Paul Otuoma claimed that top leadership of the party is sidelining Luhya mps.

In exclusive interview with Baraka Fm on Thursday ,Homa Bay Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma disputed claims saying that the duo are not committed in executing their mandate in the party .

Kaluma insisted that they are no schemes being played against them only that their loyalty in the party seems wanting, when the party is supposed to prepare for the 2017 general elections.

He said that Ababu wasn’t involved in major functions of the party because he was on paternity leave, vehemently disputing their claims that they have been stripped their powers in the party.

“He has been excusing himself and saying that he is on a paternity leave ,he should come back now to organize the party for what we are facing in 2017 ,it is not right for mps to come and claim that Luhya mps are being sidelined, when Western Kenya has the whole vice chair and sec general of the party .”Kaluma said.

On Tuesday this week, some MPs from western Kenya led by Namwamba and Otuoma, said the forces within the party is frustrating their input in the party; blaming party leader Raila Odinga and chairman John Mbadi of masterminding such activities.

Kaluma said that Namwamba has been vocal in steering the party into the right direction more so in crucial moments like bye election campaigns.

“ I want them to give us activities for the party to engage in ,not lament on youth forums ,who was to organize if not them.”Kaluma quizzed.
