Mombasa, KENYA: Bandari FC home turf KPA Mbaraki will host the Kenya Premier Top 8 title decider pitting reigning Premier League champions Gor Mahia and the tournament’s dark horses Muhoroni Youth.
Gor Mahia who are the title holders, qualified for the finals after edging two time winners Tusker 1-0 on Sunday to qualify on a 3-0 aggregate after posting a 2-0 victory in the first leg.
Meanwhile Muhoroni banked on away goal rule in their one all draw with inaugural champions Ulinzi Stars to earn a final slot.
While K’ogalo seeks to become the first back-to-back champions of the knock out tournament at a date yet to be confirmed by KPL, Muhoroni will be hoping to down the favorites to earn a maiden triumph having reached this stage for the first time.
The home side Bandari who when the fixtures for the 2016 edition rolled out were deemed to be the host dismally faltered 2-1 to Tusker in the first round played early May.
The winner between Gor Mahia and Muhoroni will walk away with Kshs 1 million.
