Mombasa, KENYA:Likoni Deputy County commissioner Geoffrey Omoding has been transferred.

He switchs his position with Francis Kimathi who was Machakos Deputy county commissioner.
Omoding has been serving Likoni for only 4 months.

The transfer of Mr Omoding comes barely three weeks after Mombasa County Commissioner Evans Achoki was transferred to Samburu.
Omoding will be remembered after 28 suspected members of criminal gang of young thugs surrenderd in Likoni during his time.
He was tough when it comes to security issues, officers in Likoni praised him.
“He would put things in action and would not leave stone unturned,”a top security officer told Baraka FM.
Earlier during his security meetings in Shonda area and Ushindi, Omoding put some chiefs and village elders on notice asking them to either produce or face the axe.
A source in Likoni police station told Baraka FM one chief has so far submitted his resignation letter, citing he wanted to join politics, but sources confirmed it was pressure mounted by Omoding.
On Wednesday Omoding with top Likoni security chiefs held a meeting with bodaboda riders in the sub-county, in a bid to curb insecurity cases where bodabodas were being used to carry out robberies in the area.
He issued a one week ultimatum which is is expected to expire on Wednesday nextweek, for all bodaboda riders to be registered.
This is in a bid to stop young school chidren who have been said to be operating bodaboda business from doing so and instead go to school.
