Alshabab suspects face 20 new charges in a Mombasa court

Mombasa, KENYA: Four girls alleged to be members of a terrorist group al-shabaab were on Friday charged with twenty new charges in a Mombasa law court.

Ummulkhar Sadri Abdula, Maryam Said Aboud and Khadija Abubakar Abdulkadir were arrested on 27th March 2015 at Elwak in Mandera County .

Khadija Abubakar Abdulkadri was also charged with the offence of organizing a meeting in support of a terrorist group.

On diverse dates between 31st January and 2nd February, she allegedly organized a meeting to be held at Masjid Musa and Masjid Sakina;by distributing a message having reasonable ground to believe that the agenda of the meeting was to promote Al-shabaab activities.

Ummulkhar Sadri Abdula a resident of Tanzania was alleged to enter the country on 23rd March 2015 for the purpose of engaging in terrorist activities.

Halima Adan Ali was arrested on 3rd of April 2015, at Kyumvi area along Machakos Nairobi road in machakos county.

The four denied all charges levied against them before Chief Magistrate Douglas Ogoti.

This case will be heard on 5th July.
